Web Map - using Mapbox / Leaflet - Exploring Iconic 80s Music

Project Description: a fun map displaying links to a selection of classic 1980s tunes, organized geographically based upon the country of origin of each artist, with embedded video player functionality. The map shows international borders accurate to the time period (1980-89).

Skills Demonstration: a combination of web mapping elements were used to build this digital map product. A basemap was styled and tiled using Mapbox, various Leaflet and JavaScript code components were used to create the map’s interactive functionality, and HTML and CSS code was used to complete the framework for online viewing. The basemap data was edited and developed in ArcGIS prior to uploading it to Mapbox. Custom symbols were created using CorelDRAW.
